so I'm thinking (considering) getting into flight simulators. The one I'm looking at which is called x-plane 10 recommends this level:

  • a 3+ GHz, multi-core CPU (or multiple processors),
  • 8-16 GB of RAM,
  • a DVD-ROM, and
  • a high-performance, DirectX 11-capable video card with 2-4 GB of on-board, dedicated VRAM.

Any recommendations? I only want the computer, no screen as I want to hook it up to my 42" smart TV.

I don't know actually, this one is fully downloadable apparently. I don't know budget as I don't know what we're looking at really. Enjoy your poo...

Also to download this sim tak s a lot of space. About 50gb

50gigs is starting to become the norm for games now. Give me a few minutes and I will build you a PC. If you dont want to build it yourself then there are companies that will do it for you, saves you the hassle. But I like building my own PC's to be honest, more satisfying.

Next to my wooden TV cabinet, between that and a chair so about 6" either side.

Well shit I made one for you but its some how stupidly expensive. Like £823.93. I dont know how that happened unless I added it up wrong..Totally wasted my time.

Did a full list with links and everything but no point in posting it now as its way too much. Something like this would do.. Its small too.

You will need to add a copy of windows though. You can also add other stuff, so if you want more ram (8 is enough for the game although it does say 8 - 16 but 16 gigs or ram is crazy for gaming), also can change the colour on the front.

That is a lot, thanks for trying though. I can see this getting expensive with the hardware added in too.

For a gaming PC that isnt completly shit you are looking from £500 so the one I posted is good value I reckon. Thing is some of it is over kill but its hard to buy older componants unless they are second hand, which I wouldnt really advise.

Sorry I meant the one you added up was a lot. I kind of expected about £4-500 for a PC but with the other bits needed such as pedals and stick that will add another £2-300 also.
