Cars are for wankers who like going slow and expensive.
Thing is most people are/were like you are with sports bikes, because of the looks. I reckon you'd be converted if you tried something else.

I wouldn't.
I like the way school girls swoon as I ride past schools at 330
Thought the primary schools kicked out a bit earlier than that?
Right, I've just got a quote for an 848 and it's coming up £60 cheaper than my current bike. Wtf??
Less of a chav bike. People take care of them more, so they're crashed and stolen less often. Lower insurance as a result.
True. I never thought about it like that. This changes everything. From reading about the two bikes (the Daytona and the 848) they're going to be completely different machines. I know which one looks better for what I want, on paper, but, damn, that Ducati is a nice looking bike. And the sound. . .
Yeah there's nothing quite like the sound of a Ducati twin.
The same thing with insurance used to happen when I was a kid - I had an Escort 1.4 and it was cheaper to insure than the 1.0, as all the kids bought and crashed the 1.0 but very few had THE BEAST which I had, so statistically it was cheaper.
Haha, I had an Astra 1.4 as my first car. It had alloy wheels and (as my dad still calls them) a sunshine roof.
Alloys? I assume you nicked them? Mine had a sweet sunroof and fuel injection. None of this carb nonsense, that's for plebs.
